India and China military level talks are expected to focus on the critical Finger Area and the strategic Depsang plains, they said. The Indian side is working on restore status quo ante (the situation as it existed in early April) along the LAC.

The army’s Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) with Lt Gen Ranbir Singh and seven others on board was on a sortie from Udhampur to Poonch when it developed a technical snag, according to a source.

The single-member panel of former Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General DS Hooda (retd), under whose watch the 2016 surgical strikes were conducted, submitted its report to the National Security Advisory Board late November.
