Kashmir reels under sub-zero temperatures as snow forecast from Monday

In Ladakh, Leh recorded a low of -15.6 degrees, while Kargil was even colder at -20.4 degrees. The coldest place in the country, Drass, recorded a low of -28.2 degrees.

Experts attribute control of pest attack on wheat to fall in temperature

The pest attack on wheat saplings by pink stem borer has been contained with the fall in temperature, said agriculture officer Jasleen Kaur. As per agriculture experts, the pest had rampantly attacked the crop which was sown earlier in the last week of October due to high temperature.

High temperature, scant rainfall, lead to fewer cases of dengue, malaria

Above normal temperature persists in Delhi, but respite likely in the next few days

The Safdarjung Observatory, which is the representative of Delhi’s weather, recorded day temperature at 41.5°C, a notch above the season’s average. The minimum settled at 28.7°C, also a notch above normal.

Dust storm, light rain may lower temperature over the weekend
