DMRC fines 2,214 passengers in 9 days for not wearing masks

According to DMRC data, from September 11 — when the rail corporation started imposing fines for mask violations — till September 20, at least 2,214 commuters had been fined for not wearing masks.

On Friday, the Delhi Metro recorded a total ridership of 1,28,886 (till 7.30pm). The Magenta Line catered to 6,953 passengers and Grey Line to 514 passengers.

From September 12 onwards, services on all lines of Delhi Metro will be available throughout the day.
A total of six lines have been made serviceable since Monday—the Yellow Line (Huda City Centre-Samaypur Badli), Blue Line (Dwarka sector-21-Vaishali/Noida Electronic City), Pink Line (Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar), along with the Red, Green and Violet lines.(PTI)

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that the delays were caused because of “signaling issues” at around 9.30 am.

Man commits suicide by jumping before metro at Delhi’s Jangpura station
