Charlie Kirk’s fatal shooting mocked in TikTok videos, X in uproar: ‘Disgusting and evil’
US President Donald Trump announced the news of Charlie Kirk’s death in a Truth Social post.
Charlie Kirk, a close ally of President Donald Trump, died on Wednesday after being shot at a college event in Utah. His death was announced on social media by Trump, who praised the 31-year-old as “Great, and even Legendary.” The news of his fatal shooting prompted people to flood various social media platforms, with some mocking his death on TikTok. However, many have expressed outrage over such videos, calling them "Disgusting and evil.”

An X profile shared a collection of TikTok clips that show people laughing and happily squealing. A caption along with the clip reads, “This is what we’re up against. DISGUSTING EVIL.”

Posting a separate video, another X wrote, “IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BATTLE OF GOOD VS EVIL. I’m shaking out of not fear but ANGER at demons like this.”
X is outraged:
The videos prompted a massive backlash and uproar on X, with people calling for the TikTok users to be held accountable. An individual posted, “Disgusting in every sense of the word!” Another added, “Every one of them should be held accountable.”

A third shared, “America will soon collapse into a civil war. The damage to our population cannot be repaired.” A fourth wrote, “We are witnessing true evil, there is no other way to put it. This is what the left has become.” Many others wrote “disgusting” to express their reactions.
Charlie Kirk’s shooting: What we know
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was about 20 minutes into a presentation at a university in Utah when he was shot. Instantly, he was carried out of the venue by his security team.
"At about 12:20 shots were fired from a building about 200 yards from the speaker. To the best of our knowledge, the individual was hit and was taken away immediately by his security personnel," said Ellen Trean, a spokesperson for Utah Valley University.
Later, in a Truth Social post, Donald Trump announced his death. Following this, the White House lowered its flags to half-staff to honour Kirk.
Charlie Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative activist and father of two, founded Turning Point USA, a nonprofit that activates conservative youth on school campuses.
