Gen Zer’s heartfelt ‘Charlie Kirk changed me’ tribute moves X to tears: ‘I’ll never be the same’
A man tweeted that he first met Charlie Kirk as a teen. The now 20-year-old recalled how the co-founder changed his life.

A Gen Zer’s heartfelt X post mourns Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed during a campus event at Utah. The 20-year-old man credited Kirk with life-changing mentorship. He recalled how he was inspired by the founder at Turning Point USA’s 2018 summit when he was just 14.
“Charlie Kirk changed my life,” Chandler Crump, whose X bio says he is a “20 Year Old Gen Z Commentator,” tweeted.

“I attended Turning Point USA's Young Black Leadership Summit in October 2018. I was 14 at the time but Charlie told me it didn't matter how young I was, I could fight alongside him in this movement,” he added.
Crump shared that since his meeting with Kirk, he has been attending every Turning Point Conference. “I grew up in this movement. I became the person I am today because of the inspiration from Charlie Kirk and his organization. I will never be the same without him, and this country will never be the same either. He was a husband, a father, a man of God, and a visionary for our nation,” he added. He concluded his post with two pictures of him with Charlie Kirk.

An individual wrote, “I remember you were the youngest kid there at the first summit.” Crump posted, “I just did the math and it's been 1/3rd of my life that I've known Charlie.”

A third shared, “This is really a devastating moment for America.” A fourth wrote, “I am so sorry for your loss. May your wonderful memories bring you some comfort in this time of grief. Our nation lost a great leader today. Please carry on and support his legacy.”
