American TV over Bollywood film for Rahul Khanna

Rahul Khanna does not have time to promote his upcoming film, Fireflies (directed by ad film-maker Sabal Singh Shekhawat), as he is in Los Angeles to negotiate for the second season of a television show, The Americans.

Post roles in films like Wake Up Sid (2009) and Love Aaj Kal (2009), Rahul Khanna will be seen on the big screen after five years in an upcoming movie -- Fireflies -- directed by ad film-maker Sabal Singh Shekhawat.

But the actor is missing in action as far as the promotions of the film are concerned. Says a source from the film, "Rahul is in the US and busy sorting out his future projects, so he is unavailable for the film."

When contacted, the actor confirms the news and regrets not being part of the promotions. He says, "Unfortunately, I am in Los Angeles at present. I’m in negotiations for the second season of a television show, The Americans."

Rahul played the role of an ISI agent in the first season of the show.
