Anchoring bug bites Shweta Kwatra

It seems as if the anchoring bug has bitten Shweta Kawatra. After Current Bollywood, she is back with Bollywood Biographies. The show delves into the lives of film personalities interspersed with interviews with associates and the stars themselves.

Kawatra says she has tried to make the show interesting from the perspective of a movie buff. This Friday’s episode features Madhuri Dixit.

Her last major fiction show was Kumkum Pyara sa Bandhan but Kawatra is still known as the vamp from Kahaanii Ghar Ghar ki. She has another fiction show on hand but refuses to talk about it.

The actress claims she needed a break from television but continued to anchor live events for the past couple of months before Bollywood Biographies. She’d like to do a comedy on the lines of Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi “in which the cast isn’t
funny, the situations are.”

Kawatra wouldn’t mind doing a film. Her husband Manav Gohil, has Bhanvar up for release.
