Ashutosh Gowarikar's uphill struggle for TV show

Ashutosh Gowariker stays with the team of his new TV show while shooting at a glacier in Uttarakhand.

After producers flag off their ventures, they usually takea back seat and let the directors and crew do the rest.

is an exception.

We have come to know that while working on his upcoming TV show, which is being shot at a glacier in Uttarakhand, Gowariker has been with the team, has been actively involved in scouting locations and shooting on steep mountain slopes.

A source close to the production house says, "Being the producer, he could have stayed back at the base camp and supervised things from there. But he likes to be in the thick of things. He climbed up the snow-covered peaks along with the team, though staying there is difficult because of the low temperatures."

Sharing details of their routine at the glacier, the source adds, "They climb up for a two-day stay and shoot there, and then climb down. It takes them three to four days for the whole process."

We have also been told that the conditions at the site have also affected Gowariker, who had worked out for months to stay fit during the shoot. He has even developed blisters on his feet.
