Game of Thrones episode 6 leak: At least our version was better, says desi Twitter

After HBO Spain accidentally aired episode 6 of Game of Thrones a week before its scheduled premiere, and two weeks after Indians leaked episode 4, desis on Twitter took to comparing the two leaks.

The unaired sixth episode of Game of Thrones’ seventh season, Death is the Enemy, was accidentally aired by HBO Spain days before its official premiere date.

Screenshots, GIFs, and spoilers from the episode flooded the internet before too long, in addition to an hour of footage that was shared on Reddit.

The ‘leak’ comes just one day after four individuals were arrested by the Mumbai Police in connection with the leak of the season’s fourth episode. Three of the four persons involved were employees of a firm that handles tech for Hotstar, HBO’s official streaming partner in India.

India fans of the show were vocal in their disapproval of Hotstar when the leak first happened, but now, they’re having a moment of pride that the version Indian’s leaked was of better quality than the latest one.
