Singer Mika Singh has been signed on as one of the judges on the comedy show. For the other spot, the channel is considering Shekhar Suman, Boman Irani, Riteish Deshmukh and cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu.

A source reveals, “The show will have fresh talent and not seasoned comedians competing. Even the judges might open some episodes with their acts. The show will have public voting as well. To be aired on weekends, this primetime laugh-a-thon is tentatively scheduled to go on air in the second half of July.”

The Great Indian Laughter Challenge was a stand-up comedy show that ran for four seasons on Star One. The show was judged by Shekhar Suman and Sidhu, whose humorous Sidhu-isms became quite famous.
