The first look of much-awaited Amazon prime Original Mirzapur is out and it’s all about guns and action. Created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur marks the directorial debut of Gurmeet Singh who “brings together heart-pounding action and gangsters armed with sharp minds, dry humour and crafty moves,” as per a press statement issued by Amazon.

Mirzapur features Shweta Tripathi and Ali Fazal in lead roles. While Ali plays a gangster, Shweta essays the role of Ali’s younger sister. She had earlier told Mid-Day, “In Mirzapur, I play the character Golu Gupta, the younger sister whose world lies in books. She’s a confident girl from Mirzapur who believes in living and doing things her way. Straight forward and honest, she doesn’t mice her words while talking.”

The story is set in Banaras and also features Pankaj Tripathi and Vikrant Massey. The small video shows an antique gun and some interesting moves of the gun on a soft, vulnerable platform. Intriguing indeed.
