Richa Chadha to star in Farhan Akhtar’s television show

Bollywood actor Richa Chadda will star in a TV show for an online streaming platform, Amazon Prime, which will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

Last week, it was reported that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house is making a TV show for an online streaming platform, which will be the latter’s first-ever Indian production. Apparently, Richa Chadda has been signed for the show.

Richa Chadda is excited about the show, which will be aired on a global platform.

A source says, “Richa will play the role of a successful actor. Her character is the owner of a cricket team, and will have some obvious parallels to Preity Zinta, who also owns an IPL team. This is unlike anything she has played before. Richa is excited about the venture, which will be aired on a global platform. She is also happy that she is reuniting with the producers of her hit film Fukrey (2013).”

Richa will start shooting for the show, which is based on cricket and showbiz, by the end of this month. Apparently, the makers have been working on the show for the past nine months.
