‘If Modi hadn’t won...’: JP Nadda at BJP’s 1st high-profile poll rally in Bihar

Jagat Prakash Nadda, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, addressed the party's first high-profile rally in Bihar ahead of Assembly elections and amid the Covid-19 pandemic. All attendees were seen wearing face masks and maintaining proper distance. At the Gaya rally, Nadda reiterated the promise that incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is leading the NDA alliance in the state. His comment came days after BJP's ally Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) decided to contest the elections alone due to differences with the Janata Dal (United). Nadda said votes should be cast on the basis of development, and not caste or friendship. Ahead of his rally, he visited the Mahavir temple in Patna with Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi. Nadda also visited JP Awaas in Patna to mark Jayaprakash Narayan's birth anniversary. Bihar will vote on October 28, November 3 and 7, and results will be declared on November 10.
