Watch what Congress is promising Bihar; focus on farmers, migrants, jobless youth

The Indian National Congress party released its manifesto ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. The main promises pertained to farmers, migrant workers and unemployment youth. From loan waiver, to scrapping of the 3 new farm laws brought in by the Central government, and halving of electricity bills - Congress sought to woo the farmers of Bihar. In order to get votes of unemployed youth, the party promised 10 lakh jobs as well as Rs 1,500 monthly allowance to those who can get jobs. While alleging a Rs 24,000 crore scam in the 'nal se jal' scheme, Congress said it would install a 100 litre water tank and a tap in every SC/ST household in the state, free of cost. It also promised schemes for free education of girls, and encouragement of sporting activities. Congress is contesting the elections in alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal and Left parties.
