‘CAA fulfilled Gandhi’s dream’: President Kovind; opposition creates ruckus

President Ram Nath Kovind addressed a joint sitting of both houses of Parliament on the opening day of the budget session. President Kovind said that the Citizenship Amendment Act fulfilled the dream of Mahatma Gandhi and added that it was a fitting tribute to the father of the nation as India celebrates his 150th birth anniversary. President Kovind also highlighted the atrocities faced by minorities in Pakistan and said that the world should take note of the same.
