‘Joined AAP a year ago’: Delhi police on Shaheen Bagh shooting accused

Delhi police revealed a fresh development in the case of shooting at Shaheen Bagh in New Delhi. The Crime Branch said that the accused, Kapil Baisla, had apparent links with the Aam Aadmi Party. Police said that the technical team had recovered deleted photographs and videos from the accused's phone. Some of the images showed Baisla with AAP leaders. Shots had been fired near the anti-CAA protest site in Shaheen Bagh on February 1, 2020. Two days earlier, a similar incident had taken place at the protest site near Jamia Millia Islamia University where a student had been injured.
