Mumbai: Amid CAA debate, Raj Thackeray’s MNS marches against illegal migrants

Raj Thackeray led a march against illegal immigrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh in Mumbai. Cadre of Thackeray's party, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), participated in the march which began from the Hindu Gymkhana in South Mumbai, and culminated at Azad Maidan, around 1.8 km away. Thackeray also addressed a gathering of the demonstrators and repeated the Bharatiya Janata Party's line that the recent Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, does not take away the rights of Muslims born in India. Protests against the CAA have erupted across the country, including Mumbai.
