Shaheen Bagh: ‘Bottle with chemical’ hurled near protest site; cops probe
Updated on Mar 23, 2020 07:26 am IST
Protestors at Delhi's Shaheen Bagh alleged a conspiracy after a 'bottle with chemical' was hurled near the demonstration site. A minor fire broke out at one of the road barricades. It was put out using a fire extinguisher. The protestors claimed that they were following the 'janta curfew' when some men on motorcycles came and lobbed some bottles. Police personnel were seen collecting evidence from the spot. People have been protesting at Shaheen Bagh since December 2019 against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, the National Register of Citizens, and the National Population Register.
