China has warned the U.S. after chasing away its naval destroyer USS Hopper from the disputed Paracel Islands in the South China Sea. China's PLA released a statement claiming that the incident shows that the U.S. is the "biggest destroyer of peace in the region and a risk-maker." It also called the U.S. warship an "intruder" that violated its sovereignty by "illegally entering its territory."
