Kerala floods: Flower businesses crippled after Onam celebrations get cancelled

Small business especially flower shops and markets, are struggling to make their ends meet in the aftermath of the floods that took Kerala through hell, as the festivities were cancelled and flowers went stale. As floods water receded, life in various parts of Kerala returned to normalcy and shop owners are re-opening their shops for business. Shop owners in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram are trying to cope with the recent decision made by the state government to refrain from celebrating Onam this year, considering the current situation.
