Badlapur review: This gripping thriller brings out the best in Varun Dhawan

Badlapur is a revenge drama seldom seen on Indian screens. Raghav (Varun Dhawan) is a cool, urban, boy-next door guy who is on the brink of a successful ad campaign. But, after his young wife Yami Gautham and kid are caught in the crossfire during a bank robbery, it's all dark and gory from there on. The performances, nonetheless, are amazing and the movie remains Varun Dhawan's best performance till date. Overall, Badlapur is likely to disappoint Sriram Raghavan fans. The brilliant performances and gripping narrative, nonetheless, will keep you hooked. Watch it for Nawazuddin and Varun Dhawan, if nothing else.
