Fanney Khan Movie Review: Anil Kapoor film affirms dreams do come true

A sweet slice-of-life film, Fanney Khan stars Anil Kapoor as a hard-on-his-luck aam aadmi who dreams big. A musician himself, he dreams of making his daughter a star. To this end, he kidnaps the reigning pop star played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with the help of his friend, essayed by Rajkummar Rao. The film demands suspension of disbelief and ignoring rather massive plot holes, especially in the second half. The film's music is another downer.
