'Hit by Chinese missile' broadcast by Taiwan TV stokes panic

A series of news alerts on a Taiwan channel claimed invasion launched by China just outside the capital Taipei. Several captions declared a violent attack by China’s People’s Liberation Army. The increase in Chinese military activity in Taiwan has caused global concern. Taiwan has urged China to curb its 'military adventurism'; and is boosting defence capabilities.
