Adnan Sami awarded Padma Shri: Congress & NCP slam Modi govt, singer hits back

A massive political war has broken out over Padma Shri to Adnan Sami. Congress and its ally NCP have hit out at the Modi government over the issue. While NCP said the decision shows that BJP would honour anyone who sings praises of Modi, the Congress questioned how a man who fought for India in Kargil was declared a foreigner but the son of a man who fought against India has been given Padma Shri.
