Updated on Jun 25, 2016 05:27 pm IST
Traffic police in Uttar Pradesh's Agra city have introduced camera-fitted uniforms for their traffic cops who will record videos and still images aimed to increase transparency, legitimacy and a sense of justice. A total of nine cameras were given to sub-traffic inspectors by the superintendent of police for Agra traffic. Traffic SP Rajesh Kumar said that when vehicles are stopped, many times the police is blamed for misbehavior. He added that all the policemen would be given cameras which will record voice, images and videos. So, if there is any disagreement with a violator, the police will use the footage to find out if our officer is at fault.
