Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly polls, traditional allies BJP and the Shiv Sena are haggling over seat sharing in the state. While the Sena has demanded that a 50:50 formula be followed, the BJP has remained tight lipped on whether it will part with so many seats. Some leaders in the Sena have even advocated going it alone if the BJP does not stick to the 50:50 formula. Reports suggest the Sena is also pushing for consideration of Uddhav's son Aditya Thackeray for the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
