Assembly elections results: How KCR swept Telangana
Updated on Dec 11, 2018 04:06 pm IST
K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) swept the Telangana assembly elections on Tuesday. In this episode of HT Conversations, Hindustan Times editors discuss how KCR swept Telangana.
KCR's welfare schemes seem to have struck a chord with the electorate and did him good far more than his counterparts in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Another critical factor behind his victory is that Muslims rallied behind him and the Congress could not manage to split the Muslim vote. KCR is seen as the flag-bearer of the Telangana movement and that could have also worked in the TRS's favour.
