Congress’ Ahmed Patel questioned by ED again over alleged Sandesara scam

Officials of the Enforcement Directorate visited Congress leader Ahmed Patel for the second time in less than a week. The politician is being questioned over purported links to the Sandesara family which is accused in the Sterling Biotech case. Nitin, Chetan and Deepti Sandesara are absconding to evade prosecution over alleged fraud worth Rs 14,500 crore. After his 8-hour questioning on June 27, Patel had accused the government of targeting Opposition leaders to divert attention from the Covid-19 and China issues.
