‘Must take action against UP DGP’: DCW alleges cover-up in Unnao case

In an exclusive interview, Hindustan Times caught up with Swati Maliwal, Chief, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) who alleged that the suspension of three cops in the Unnao rape case was a cover-up and said that action must be taken against the DGP of UP. The Supreme Court has ordered transfer of all five cases linked to the Unnao rape survivor, including the Rae Bareli accident case, to a CBI court in Delhi. The judge who will hear the cases will be named later by SC. UP government was also ordered to pay the survivor, by tomorrow, an interim compensation of Rs 25 lakh.
