The much awaited Signature Bridge over Yamuna River in New Delhi will be opened for public on November 5. The bridge aims to reduce the travel time between northeast Delhi and north Delhi. The bridge will be the first asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge in India. It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on November 4. The project was announced in 2004, but failed to meet several deadlines.
