It’s official: BJP rebel Shatrughan Sinha to join Congress before LS polls

Just weeks before the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha finally announced his decision to join the Congress party. Sinha, despite being a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party, had become a vocal critic of the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance government. He met Congress President Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, and will formally become a member of the party on April 6, 2019.
