Kumbh 2019: Inside the unique Kinnar Akhada

At Kumbh 2019, the transgender community has been witness to several struggles to get themselves recognised and have been fighting for their rights. They got a small victory at the Kumbh Mela as they were allowed for the first time to set up a pandal. People have also welcomed them as visitors have been thronging the pandal to seek blessings from the community. The community is also performing on devotional songs that are being played at the pandal. People are lining up to meet Acharya Mahamandaleshwar, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi.
