Kumbh Mela 2019: Uttar Pradesh govt to commence motorised boat service

Uttar Pradesh government will commence motorised boat services for the pilgrims ahead of Kumbh Mela 2019. The Mela starts from 15 January 2019 and four floating terminals have been established in Uttar Pradesh by AWAI. The terminals established are Quila Ghat, Old Naini Bridge, Saraswati Ghat and Sujawan Ghat. Vessel CL Kasturba and 20 motorised boats will be used to ferry pilgrims. The trials for these boats have already begun and the services will commence from 5th January.
