Matter handled in depressing way: Mamata Banerjee on CBI-Chidambaram saga

West Bengal Chief Minister commented on the CBI-Chidambaram saga. Mamata Banerjee said that the way in which the matter was handled was 'depressing'. Chidambaram, a former Union Minister, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation, on August 21, and sent to the agency's custody for 4 days on August 22. He is under investigation in a case of alleged corruption. The case pertains to clearance given to INX Media by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, when Chidambaram was Union Finance Minister.
