Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Wednesday thanked the people of Delhi for the winning streak in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections and said the results have taken forward the party's victory march. Shah said the outcome clearly shows that people will not accept politics of anger and blame games and will choose leaders willing to work towards development path. He stressed that MCD results are the triumph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pro-poor programmes and policy of 'Sabka saath-sabka Vikas'. The elections carry wider national ramifications as an emphatic victory for the BJP will only add to its image to invincibility and leave a divided opposition further demoralised in the run-up to the national elections in 2019.
