Teachers and students in a school in Rajasthan's Pushkar were witnesses to a bizarre flag hoisting ceremony on Tuesday. Instead of the chief guest who was supposed to preside over the flag hoisting ceremony, the tricolour was hoisted by two monkeys. A video of the incident has gone viral on the social media, leaving netizens in splits. The incident happened a little after 8 am on Tuesday at the Pragya Bal Niketan, Puskar. The apes hoist the flag followed by the shower of flowers. In the background, the students are heard clapping and laughing as the monkeys leave after hoisting the flag. Pushkar, one of the oldest cities in India which is situated in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan, has a large monkey population.
