Mother Teresa’s 109th birth anniversary: Peace prayers held in Kolkata

Several nuns offered peace prayers at the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata on the 109th birth anniversary of Mother Teresa. Politicians from across the spectrum also tweeted their tributes to Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa, a 1979 Nobel Laureate, moved to India in the late 1920s and taught history and geography for 15 years at Kolkata's St Mary's High School. She later laid the foundation stone of the Roman Catholic religious congregation in 1950, which was later became famous as the Missionaries of Charity.
