Nagaland girl creates history, designs Asia’s largest church

Standing tall and majestic, adorning the hilltop of Zunheboto town in Nagaland state, Sumi Baptist Church created history by becoming the Asia's largest church. Meet Architect Honoholi K Chishi-Zhimomi, of the firm Akitektura, who is a mother of three and who has become famous across the country, and the world, by designing the Asia's largest Church. With her work, she has also set an example and inspired many. Zhimomi studied architecture at School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi and has got her Master from the University of Adelaide in Australia. Zhimomi has specialized in monumental buildings, contemporary and gothic designs. Born and brought up in Nagaland, the 38-year-old architect designed the magnificent Sumi Baptist Church, which was inaugurated on 24th April 2017, amidst much fanfare and admiration from across the globe.
