‘Run for Unity’: Nation celebrates Sardar Patel’s 144th birth anniversary

Nation celebrated Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel's 144th birth anniversary. The day is observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National unity day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Gujarat's Kevadia and attended celebrations at Statue of Unity. PM Modi paid floral tribute and administered unity pledge. Centre organised a nation-wide 'Run for Unity' marathon. President Ram Nath Kovind and Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Sardar Patel. Amit Shah also flagged off 'Run for Unity' in Delhi. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also participated in 'Run for Unity'.
