‘PM Modi contradicted defence, foreign minister’: Congress on China clash

Former Union minister and senior Congress leader, P. Chidambaram posed questions to the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the face-off with China along the Line of Actual Control. Chidambaram, who helmed the Home ministry for a certain period of time during the United Progressive Alliance administration, said that PM Modi's remarks during the all-party meeting on June 19 contradicted recent statements by the Indian Army chief, foreign minister Jaishankar, and defence minister Rajnath Singh, regarding the status at the LAC.
