Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met families of two persons killed in anti-CAA protests in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor. While speaking to the media, she said, “Economic situation of the country has gone from bad to worse. GDP is at its lowest. The law has been introduced to divert people's attention.” Bijnor was one of the districts in UP severely affected by violence during anti-CAA protests.
