Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday denied his role in cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu's resignation. Sidhu resigned from the Punjab cabinet and made the announcement on Twitter. He sent his resignation letter to former Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Sidhu has been unhappy with Amarinder Singh ever since his wife was denied a Lok Sabha ticket. Last month, Sidhu was stripped of his portfolios of Local Bodies and Tourism & Culture ministries.
