‘People being misled’: Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal appeals for peace

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal spoke on the unrest in the state and urged people to maintain peace and tranquillity. Speaking on the protests in Assam, Sonowal said, “Some section of people trying to make the whole situation very much aggravated by spreading some misinformation.” Curfew was imposed in Guwahati and Dibrugarh after people protested against Citizenship Amendment Bill. Mobile internet services were suspended for a day and people were army was deployed.
