Sushant case drugs angle: Rhea Chakraborty gets bail; no relief for Showik
The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty in connection with the drugs probe linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The Bombay High Court however, rejected the bail plea of her brother Showik Chakraborty, who is also an accused in the case. The duo was arrested last month by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with its drugs probe related to the case of Rajput's death. Samuel Miranda & Dipesh Sawant have also been granted bail by the court. NCB had accused them of being active members of a drug syndicate. They had launched a probe after some Whatsapp chats allegedly showed Rhea ordering drugs for her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea in her bail plea had argued that they were part of a witch-hunt by agencies, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, following which his father had filed an FIR in Patna accusing Rhea of abetment to suicide, embezzling money and other offences.
