An argument broke out among Congress leaders after a stock-taking meeting in the national capital. The politicians were in Delhi to discuss the party's dismal performance in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. After the meeting was over, leaders from Western Uttar Pradesh were seen arguing and pushing and shoving each other. Other leaders tried to restrain their arguing colleagues. Congress only managed to win one out of eighty seats in UP. Even party chief Rahul Gandhi lost his family bastion Amethi. Only Sonia Gandhi retained her seat, Raebareli. Congress leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had been handed the responsibility of leading Congress campaigns in western and eastern UP respectively.
