Watch: Whale shark washed ashore in Odisha’s Sonapur coast dies

A whale shark, which had been washed to the coast of Sonapur beach in Berhampur, died after it could not get back into the sea. The whale shark had been washed to the coast on March 2. Local fishermen made several attempts to put it back in the sea but failed. With the news of the whale shark spreading, several people gathered in the area to catch a glimpse of the largest known fish species.
