57% voter turnout in IVth phase of polls

The election commission on Thursday said that Polling in the fourth phase of the staggered general elections in India was better than the other phases. More than 94 million people were eligible to cast ballots in the fourth stage of a month-long vote in which the Congress alliance appears to have a slight edge over the BJP.
