Abu Salem rules out possibility of entering into politics

Underworld gangster Abu Salem today ruled out any possibility of contesting elections trying to put to rest all speculations of his entering politics. He refuted the reports that he was planning to contest from the Mubarakpur seat in Azamgarh during the last assembly election. Abu Salem, who was recently sentenced to four years of imprisonment in a fake passport case, visited his native place Azamgarh on Tuesday to pay tribute to his aunt who passed away on February 4. Hundreds of people had welcomed the convicted gangster home with loud cheers and greetings. Speaking to the media afterwards, Salem said that he was overwhelmed by the crowd's support.
