Ajit Singh justifies decision of AERA

Civil aviation minister Ajit Singh on Thursday said that Government cannot interfere into the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority's (AERA) decision to hike user development charges at New Delhi airport for next two years. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, he justified the decision and said AERA is a judicial authority and it has hiked the levy after consulting the concerned parties. Speaking about Foreign Direct Investment, in the aviation sector he said that FDI could be allowed in the sector only after a consensus among the concerned groups.
