Anna wins the battle, Govt agrees to redraft Lokpal Bill

Gandhian crusader Anna Hazare scored a stupendous victory on Friday night with UPA government accepting all his demands on how a new Lokpal Bill would be drafted for presentation in Parliament's Monsoon session. Following the government's guarantee, Hazare, announced to call off the fast. Hundreds of Anna's supporters welcomed the central government's assurance to issue an order for setting up a committee on Saturday. They hailed the decision saying they have been shown a ray of hope and this step will help in making the society corruption free.
